In November 2017, Chagee opened its first store in Yunnan, China.
Since then, we have remained committed in our mission to constantly innovate and bring healthy and delicious tea beverages to our customers using quality ingredients.
Till date, we have grown to more than 29 provinces and cities in China.
We have also expanded into Southeast Asia with stores in Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and more.
As of February 2024, we have over 4,500+ stores globally.

Partnering with Jackson Wang
In 2023, CHAGEE partnered with international celebrity Jackson Wang during his world tour to give away exclusive CHAGEE merchandise, free concert tickets and his signed posters to CHAGEE fans!

CHAGEE's first “silent” store in Hangzhou, Zhejiang run by hearing impaired employees
With illustrated guides of sign language and blackboards for writing down requests and questions strewn across the shop, as well as ordering through its WeChat mini programme, the “silent” CHAGEE branch provides a space that champions inclusivity for all visitors.

A Celebration of Culture: CHAGEE's「非遗今用」Limited Edition Merchandise
In a bid to connect youths to our rich Chinese heritage this year of the Dragon, CHAGEE partnered with designer and喜行乐owner, Renee, to create a suite of limited edition merchandise.

2023
- Total store count exceeded 3,000 stores worldwide, with over 100 stores located outside of China. - In China, CHAGEE is represented in all 22 provinces across 250 cities. - Introduction of Tea Bar as the 3.0 Store Concept
2022
- Introduced a mini program for ordering and the first commercial use of automated equipment. - Global store count exceeded 1,000, cementing CHAGEE as one of China's top ten tea brands, and top five in Malaysia. - The annual global sales of CHAGEE's signature product, Jasmine Green Milk Tea, exceeded 20 million cups.
2021
- CHAGEE's first store was at Chunxi Road in Chengdu, achieving sales of 3,600 cups on the first day and monthly sales of 60,000 cups (equivalent to gross monthly sales of S$420K in Singapore). - Rebranding of "BaWangChaJi" to "CHAGEE"
2020
- Achieved global store count of 240 stores, with a monthly sales volume of 2 million cups. - Entered Singapore and Thailand markets in the same year via franchise model.
2019
- Opening of the first CHAGEE store in Malaysia
2018
- Massive exposure gained via our "tear cup" trend in TikTok which achieved over 100 million views - Established an Overseas Business Unit for international expansion - Joint venture company formed in Malaysia
2017
- BaWangChaJi" was officially established - CHAGEE's very first store opened at Wuyi Road in Kunming, Yunnan, China - the hometown of tea.
